Because a Quaker Meeting for Worship is so unlike worship as practiced by other religious groups, it’s worth spending a little time going through the nuts and bolts of it before getting on to the philosophy of what it actually means. As you may have picked up by now, for Quakers the nuts and bolts is sometimes just as important as the faith – indeed, disagreements over curtains can sometimes bubble for longer and deeper than disagreements over the divinity or otherwise of Jesus!
